  • A busy week..........

On my agenda for this week.....

    Clean basement

clean the house, upstairs and down

make lots of food, (cereal, yogurt, cheeseballs, pumpkin cookies, danish braids, etc)

    return books at the library

meet someone tomorrow morning at 9:30

round up some mattress' and pack-n-play, tables and chairs

get ready to entertain about 38 people for a few days and make sure everyone has a bed and towels to shower and food to eat

keep my sanity and not get grouchy

and last but not least go shopping on Black Friday

I told Mark this morning we had better enjoy these last few days of quietness.

Marks family is coming for Thanksgiving and they all plan to be here except for his one sister and family. The house will be full and running over with children, I think there's around 26 children  I was hoping for a beautiful warm day, so they can play outside but it looks like they are calling for rain.  Thankfully I don't have to make all the food but it worries  me about towels and washcloths, would it be rude to call them and tell them to bring their own or do I just wash twice a day and hope nobody has to drip-dry? I know we will be ready to have the twins sleep in their own crib and girls in their bed by Sunday night. They're not all staying for the weekend. On the menu for Thanksgiving dinner:

    Turkey and filling

    mashed potatoes

    creamed celery

    onion bread and smear cheese

    coleslaw/ christmas salad

pumpkin/ pecan pie and ice cream

    sweet tea and coffee

My mouth is already watering. Mark grew up with creamed celery and smear cheese and I'm still getting used to it

Have a Happy Thanksgiving. Let's be thankful for all the wonderful things that we have so abundantly.

  • On sunday we have a fellowship dinner at church and I need to bring dessert for 20 people and I can't decided what to bring, maybe you could help me out.   What would you go for or be hungry for? I want something with pumpkin or I love anything chocolate!

    -pumpkin caramel pound cake

    -pumpkin cream cheese squares

    -pumpkin  cheesecake

    -death by chocolate

    -pumpkin torte

    -marbled pumpkin cheesecake.

Some of these I've had and some will be new. I usually like when Mark tells me what he wants and he usually never goes for chocolate!

  • This has been quite the week already. We were gone last weekend and came home Sunday night and by monday most of us started with colds. By Tuesday night the twins and I were sick and today Danika was down all day and she doesn't sound too good tonight. Not amused that we have started out the winter like this. Need to get everybody on something to build their immune system. Today was very frustrating, couldn't hardly get anything done, when the twins were awake it was hold them and then I tried to get them interested in playing so I could clean and that lasted for about five minutes and we were back to step number one. I just pray tomorrow will be better and we will all wake up happy and ready to tackle another Friday. YEA!!!!!
