  • How is this for a little girl who is teething? Sorry about the blurry picture, my batteries were about dead. She will chew on anything she can get ahold of, socks, rags, dishcloth and even dirty underwear  This morning the girls were hanging up the washcloths and this is how I found her, walking around the house sucking on the washcloths! Shes not eating very well, she would rather have her bottle and I hope thats the reason and not that she getting sick. Do any of you mothers have suggestions on what to give your one year olds for breakfast? They don't like eggs or oatmeal. They love yogurt {and I'm just about out, need to make more.} Its frustrating when they are so picky.

I love these cool morning and evenings. Coffee is extra good and it's fun to wear pull-overs and sweaters again. I'm ready for the snow to fly.

  • When my children were teething I would wet the corner of a blanket, rag, towel, etc and set it in the freezer for a few minutes. They would chew on the cold corner relieving them of pain for longer than just chewing on something that wasn't cold. They never did really like those teething rings very much.

Have you tried a frozen waffle? Sometimes that would help too! I also love fall! For me, there isn't a time when coffee doesn't taste good!

  • @fourkidsonemom - I agree on the coffee thing! I've never tried a frozen waffle. It might work!

  • My boys did very well with the teething stage, so I don't really have any remedies.   For breakfast... how about pancakes or waffles cut into small pieces with a little pool of syrup for dipping.   My boys loved that and that's how they learned to work a fork.  :)   Also, bananas served the same way.

    Pretty fall decorations!!

  • Your new look is great! The baby's homemade teether...........seen a few a those myself ;) That's rough when they don't like oatmeal....my girls live on the stuff for breakfast, although like your's they don't dig eggs. Yogurt is awesome and I need to get back to making it too. Enjoy your coffee!

  • Breakfast ideas--Cheerios (they might not be able to eat cereal by themselves as well, but if there's not too much milk they might be able to), pancakes, toast with melted cheese.  No eggs or oatmeal would be a big bummer.

You should post pictures of your house sometime.

  • Love that fall decor!

  • I wish you could share at least a little of your love for the cold with me!

Hope the teeth poke out soon!

  • French toast cut into sticks and a dipping pile of syrup and grits are two favorites here.

  • You all should come down for the school sale!! I would love to give you directions. This year because of little ones I don't have any "stand" job, and Wayne is doing all his shifts early morning before we get there. Its a big day, but lots of fun!

  • @wweaveman - How I would love too, but you see its hunting season and we are going to be gone next weekend so............ maybe some Sunday we can come see you all. Have a great weekend.

  • I can sure identify with you, lady! My little girl is 11 months and still no teeth. She basically lives on cream of wheat (instant packs/ maple & brown sugar ) or yougurt for breakfast. No eggs for my children either! Where did I go wrong? You will get through this season of your life! I'm so glad Gwenith is doing better for you too.

  • @Fdanzeltime - It's so funny but the two oldest love eggs and would eat them every morning, hopefully it will wear off on the twins. Have a great week.

  • howdy there! can i come for coffee? I don't drink much coffee here in FL. I would like about 5 days of cold and snow over Christmas, so i could enjoy coffee, fireplace, puzzles, and candles! Other than that, i'm content with this hot/warm weather! :) :):):)

  • @cheesycoffee - I would love to have you come for coffee! I would miss the snow and cold too, not saying that we get much snow, but it at least gets cold. Love ya.

  • Hey I can't wait to see you again...we're coming for Christmas. Will you be home around than?
Joel just cut his first two teeth...ouch, but we made it...

  • @travelexpert - We are planning on going up to OH for Christmas. Depends on when you come maybe I can see you a little. I hope Cutting teeth is no fun. Miranda is a mess and Mckenzie you can hardly tell when she gets a tooth.
