When daddy comes home.......
.......the world just got a little brighter
.......mamma steps get lighter
.......girls are squealing with delight and run out to meet the one they love dearly
.......the roof could cave in and you wouldn't even notice
.......mamma dries her tears and knows that everything will be ok
.......the babies even stop crying and get a smile on their face when daddy walks through the door
.......mamma can hardly wait for a kiss and hug and a I love you and how was your day
.......and you breathe a sigh of relief and you thank the good Lord for bringing him home safely and for blessing you with him. I hope daddy knows how much we love him and appreciate him. Did you tell your husband and daddy how much he means to you and your children? Never ever take him for granted. Thank you Jesus for godly husbands and loving fathers.

This is a typical picture in our house when daddy comes. Thanks for sharing it and reminding me to appreciate my children's daddy
.
That was needed in my mind. So often in the busyness of life, I think someone "knows" how much I care about and love them, but how often do I actually go into detail as to WHY I care and love????
Oh Amen, Gina! I echo what you wrote. In today's world a Godly husband and Father is a treasure for sure. Somehow the world is just "right" when daddy is here....
So true! my little guy can't get up and run to the door yet...his daddy can't wait till he can.
Amen! Steve always claims he never really does much, but my girls are so much happier when they have time with their daddy. What he doesn't always get is that just playing with them or pushing them on the swing or coloring with them is a huge boost even if it doesn't feel like much to him.
Sounds a lot like our house. Adam likes for David Lee to call him when he's getting close then he goes out to the road to wait for him and they drive in the lane together. It's just too long to wait til he gets to the door.
Funny thing is, the last month or so, I've started going with him! Nothing like the phone ringing and hearing him say, "I'm almost home!"
how true!
(so glad you subscribed, i love seeing other moms with twins and listening to their lives)
So very sweet and true! Lovely family you have. ~Denise~
Hello! I accidently found your blog and when I read this post, I just had to comment!! My dad was killed just a little over a year ago, and after he was killed, I realized how much I had taken him for granted... I would give anything to be able to tell him, I love you, one more time but I cant.. so those of you who still have a dad, tell him how much you love him!!! you never know when you will be forced to say goodbye... ~ Elizabeth ~
